Earlier today, ESPN the Magazine tweeted a question: Would you date someone who was a fan of your archrival? In the spirit of Valentines Day tomorrow, I say yes. And no.

kansas fans: No. No way. There is nothing I like about kansas. It’s not even a proper noun, and I’m a grammar nerd. Falling in love with a professional sports team usually starts early so its hard to fault them, but it would be impossible to trust anyone who chose to attend the thing they call a university in Lawrence. If love is build on trust and respect (and lots of tailgating), then I prefer men who associate themselves with mascots that are actually a real animal.
